Update 3 - Operations to resume Aug. 31st in Hurricane affected areas.

(Miami, 08/30 - 2pm) We would like to update our network partners and customers on the recent developments in Texas and Louisiana.

We appreciate your business and look forward to getting back to our regular schedule.  We have a long road ahead of us in regards to recovery, but we are confident we will get back to 100% quickly. Please know that our Houston branch at Intercontinental airport was not impacted, and that all cargo that was stored in our warehouse is intact and in good condition.

You should have on hand an emergency contact number that was provided to you should there be any emergency inquiries or needs over the next few days. If you are not aware of whom your emergency contact is, please feel free to reach out to myself, Rachelle or Chris and we will direct you accordingly. In the event that the closure is extended due to emergency circumstances the escalation / emergency numbers will remain the same. 

Our operations will resume as follows:

  • Thursday and Friday Aug 31- Sep1 we will be open with a skeleton crew only. Our intent is mainly to provide communication and administrative support. However, as services continue coming online (trucking companies, courier services, steamship and airlines), we will ramp up accordingly.
  • Account owners will work with individual clients to identify action plans for support in clearing back log, emergency shipments, etc.
  • While we are making every attempt to open our branch as soon as it is safe to do so, our priority is addressing the needs of our Houston-area colleagues and their families.
  • Our intention is to be 100% functional by September 5th

Please note:
While air and ocean carriers begin to open there are other support services that will impact our ability to work with or deliver and pick up from the carriers (trucking companies, road conditions, etc.). We are working diligently with these businesses to assess resources and availability and are pushing to expedite having all services on line and up and running as quickly as possible. In the meantime your understanding is appreciated.

For ocean freight cargo please note:
We are receiving continuous updates from terminal and steamship lines. They have been affected in a variety of ways. A few are preparing to reopen and others who were impacted by the water and storm will notify us of what their container inspection and processing timeline will be. Our ocean export ops manager will communicate those statuses to applicable clients as those details become available. 

For air freight cargo please note:
We are receiving continuous updates from airlines. Some of them will be opening late this evening and tomorrow with limited capacity. Others will do so over the weekend due to structural or resource considerations as a result of the storms impact. Our air export manager will communicate those statuses to applicable clients as those details become available.
